The July meeting of the Upper
Frederick Township Planning Commission was called to order by the Vice-Chairman at 7:00 PM. Attending were Jay
Discianni, Vice-Chairman; William O'Donnell, Planning Commission Member; Randy Wampole, Planning Commission
Member; Julie Spahn, Planning Commission Member; Norm Ulrich, Township Engineer; Kenn Picardi, Township Solicitor;
Tracy Tackett, Township Planner; Jackie Tallon, Township Manager; Sherry Zawada, Administrative Assistant; and one
resident in the audience.
Approval of
Minutes
Mr. O'Donnell made a motion to
approve the Minutes from the May 28, 2009 Planning Commission meeting. Mr. Wampole seconded the motion and it
passed unanimously.
New Member
Mr. Discianni stated that Roger
Dietrich has resigned from the Planning Commission and that a new member was present at the meeting, Julie
Spahn. Mr. Discianni welcomed Ms. Spahn.

Frederick Mennonite
Community
John Hendrickson, CEO of Frederick
Mennonite Community, was present. Ray Minninger, Board member of Frederick Mennonite Community, and Gregory
Scott, architect for Frederick Mennonite Community, were also present. Mr. Scott gave a description of the revision
of the Phase 1 plans for future building which is being considered by the Frederick Mennonite Community. A discussion
took place regarding the planning and engineering of this proposed building.
Proposed Zoning
Changes
Ms. Tackett presented proposed
amendments to the Zoning Ordinance for consideration by the Planning Commission. A discussion took place
regarding the proposed changes to the Zoning Ordinance. More detailed information will be submitted at the next
Planning Commission meeting.
CPVRPC
Ms. Tallon stated that there are two
updates which are being proposed to the Regional Comprehensive Plan. One of those proposed updates is to the
Transportation Study. The other proposed update is an amendment being proposed by Perkiomen Township for a property
behind Landis Market, which they would like to make available for industrial use. Ms. Tackett stated that the
proposed updates to the Regional Comprehensive Plan are scheduled to be adopted on September 10, 2009 by Upper
Frederick Township at their regularly scheduled meeting.

Mr. Wampole made a motion to adjourn
the meeting at 8:08 PM. Mr. O'Donnell seconded and the meeting was adjourned.
