VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR UPPER FREDERICK FIRE COMPANY

VERIZON FIOS SERVICE:

Now available to residents whose telephone service is Verizon. Verizon FIOS is not available to residents in the D&E Communications service area.

SUPERIOR WATER COMPANY SERVICES (IVY RIDGE DEVELOPMENT ONLY)

Superior Water Company ("Superior Water") is pleased to announce its partnership with Swiftreach Networks, Inc. Emergency Notification System to assist with its compliance with May 2009 Department of Environmental Protection ("DEP") regulations requiring expedited personal notification to utility customers in the event of certain events such as a water main break, natural disaster or a system flushing schedule. To comply with the regulations, Superior Water is required to develop a complete customer database by May 2010, including current telephone number(s) and/or e-mail address.

Superior Water is asking its local townships as well as its customers to cooperate in achieving this goal of universal customer contact data. If you have not already done so, please submit your name, address and all telephone numbers and email addressses to the Company via telephone at 610-222-4171, fax at 610-222-4170, its website at www.superiorwaterco.com, which will direct you to enter your data directly, or through email to csweeney@superiorwaterco.com.

RECYCLING AT THE TOWNSHIP BUILDING

New recycling hours effective immediately

- Monday through Friday only - 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM

- Assisted recycling - Last Saturday of the month from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM

The newly reprinted version of "A Compendium of the History of Upper Frederick Township" originally published in 1975 by The Bicentennial Committee of Upper Frederick Township is now available for sale at the Township Building for $25.00.

LIHEAP - Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program

Upper Frederick Township is pleased to offer free information and assistance in the LIHEAP program.Literature and applications available at the Township Building.

If interested in applying for assistance through the LIHEAP program please

contact the Township office at 610-754-6436 during the hours of 9:00 AM to

4:00 PM, Monday through Friday to schedue an appointment for assistance.

ATTENTION HISTORY LOVERS

In order to preserve the history, lore, and historical heritage of Upper Frederick Township the Township Officials are exploring the possibility of creating a Township Historical Society. Anyone having an interest in preserving the history of Upper Frederick Township is encouraged to contact the Township office. Members need not be township residents.

The Historical Society will be an independent organization, however it will maintain a working relationship with the township government. The society will depend solely on volunteers.
